MARYANNE NUCIFORA

Jazz

Maryanne is a Commercial Jazz dancer and teacher based in Brisbane. After completing her Certificate III (2009) and two year full-time Advance Diploma of Musical Theatre and Commercial Dance course (2010-2011) at the Australian Dance Performance Institute (ADPI), she moved on to perform professionally on contract with Universal Studio’s Singapore for two years. She has been accepted into Mad Dance House Agency, worked on various gigs throughout Brisbane including the Bronco’s Cheerleaders, Ball Park Music’s music video ‘Literally Baby,’ corporate gigs, flash mobs, back up dancer for artist Nicole Skye, school functions, performing with a children’s entertainment company “Dance Along,” performing children’s shows and teaching dance classes in Kindergartens Rock it Queen Dancer, DJ Dubfire dancer and PERKII probiotics water advertisement. Maryanne is currently performing and rehearsing for the up-coming Brisbane Dance and Visual Art collaboration show, ‘Shade. 2016.’
Maryanne’s choreography has been accepted and performed in both UNDRGRND Brisbane’s in 2014, hosted by Paul Malek. Maryanne was recently selected as a RAW Artist and her choreography was showcased at the RAW Sensory show in June last year. Also last year (2015), Maryanne took a group of V-Hub dancers down to Sydney to perform in the ‘Special Olympics Dance Group’s’ Charity event, “Don’t Dis Disabilities,” which she was selected for. In 2013, Maryanne was assistant choreographer to Libby Trickett and her partner for the television show ‘Dancing with the Stars,’ choreographed sections of the Lord Mayors Carol’s 2013, performed at River Stage and was a part of the SHADE Brisbane Cast 2015 and 2016.
Maryanne has and continues to teach in several dance schools and high schools around Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast. She has taught workshops around the Gold Coast, high schools and NSW. Maryanne will be teaching the Commercial Jazz unit at QUT this Semester for the Bachelor of Fine Arts, Dance Education Students. She has trained for over 18 years in styles that Include Jazz, Classical Ballet, Contemporary, Commercial, Musical Theatre, Lyrical, Tap and Hip Hop. Maryanne is currently studying a Bachelor of Creative Industries at the Queensland University of Technology. She loves to share her passion and love for dance with everyone she meets.
